Kevin how do I know where to position the bore on the door for my deadbolt? Also do you know of a wide swing hinge that I could put on my French doors that is tamper resistant in order to open them all the way parallel to the outside wall of my home?

I agree 💯 percent, that the person (stranger) that enters my home should be properly vetted! If a so called locksmith won't surrender his fingerprints, how would you know if he has a criminal record?

How would you recommend reinforcing a door with side windows? There's a door with 1.5" of wood and that's it behind it I need to reinforce so the long screws wont work.

Kevin - Do you think the deadbolts that you installed into the top and bottom jams need to be a tough grade 1 like Mul-t-Lock Hercular or Schlage B660, or will a cheaper grade 2 be equally fine?

I’ve got steel doors and 4” screws , they have a lot of kicking to do and it would be in their best interest if I wasn’t home if you know what I mean !

A true professional, honest with great customer service. I was having issues with my safe, to the point it would not open. After researching and talking to multiple safe dealers, all who agreed the safe would need to be drilled and replaced, I had resolved myself that that is what I would need to do, and spend $500 - $800 to have it done. While talking to one safe dealer who stated that they could deliver a new safe and removal of the old safe, they stated that they are not a lock/safe Smith, and recommend Kevin. I call Kevin & explained what was going on with the safe. Kevin asked that I take pictures and send him the safe dimensions. After Kevin received the information, Kevin via text, was able to walk me through a couple scenarios which resulted in me being able to open the safe, opening and closing several times to insure the fix worked. Because Kevin took the time to trouble shoot, which resulted in a fix, I did not have to have my safe drilled and replaced saving a couple thousand dollars.

And in through the window we go!!!

What is the name of the kit, and how do we order it ?

You need rockdoor french doors they are the most secure best locks and laminated glass.

i was able to easily pick my old house lock within seconds but the level 8/10 brinks high security deadbolt lock i can't pick at all i was at it for like 2 hours i know its not impossible.

I agree with Nick Hall below, some locks you have to drill. What are you supposed to do when a business is barred like fort knox? Get out my magic wand and wave it open? Not every lock has to be drilled and the guy in the video isn't saying the alternative he just is warning about scammers who drill EVERY lock. So even pro's have to drill I think the video is helpful to a degree but sometimes you drill. Not everyone has a magic wand in their tool box ;)

What keeps someone from breaking the top and bottom pane and unlocking the deadbolts? Maybe they should be keyed deadbolts.

Join AAA or check to see if you insurance covers a unlock. Call local tow companies around you a lot of them do unlocks and some police departments depending on the situation.

I have double cylinder deadbolts on my front and back doors because they both have glass. I lock them at night. The keys are nearby. How is this safer? A person could still break the glass and just turn the lock to open it.

Hey guys, I actually worked as a locksmith in Atlanta and it's the Israeli that's the scammers. Avoid foreigners and the typical $15 service call and $35 to unlock.

So basically my locks on my house so useless
